When he first discovered Sayulita, he saw something special in it — a surf town that still felt genuinely safe and welcoming for families, a rare combination on this coast. He wanted a family of his own one day, and he wanted his kids to grow up knowing this side of Mexico: authentic and unhurried, yet close enough to the comforts of the modern world. Villa Vargas is where that vision became real.
Villa Vargas was designed around the idea that a vacation home should feel like an extension of the outdoors, not a retreat from it. The heated pool and garden terrace sit at the center of the property, with the living and dining spaces opening directly onto them — there’s rarely a hard line between being inside and being out. It’s a quiet corner of Sayulita, close enough to walk into town in a few minutes, far enough to actually hear the birds in the morning.
The villa is spread across two levels, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms giving everyone their own space to retreat to. Two full kitchens mean a big group can cook breakfast at the same time without getting in each other’s way, and laundry on both floors keeps a full house running smoothly rather than turning into a logistics project.
